Global NC Convenes NC Coalition for Global Competitiveness to Advance North Carolina’s Global Future

On February 19, 2026, Global NC convened the NC Coalition for Global Competitiveness for its first quarterly meeting of the year, bringing together leaders from across sectors to advance North Carolina’s global engagement agenda.

The Coalition was honored to welcome His Excellency Ambassador David Kerich, Kenya’s Ambassador to the United States, alongside guests from Novonesis. The program also featured insights on the growing ties between North Carolina and Ireland, as well as an update on current global initiatives at RTI International.

During the meeting, Global NC officially released the updated Blueprint for Global Engagement 2025, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening the state’s international partnerships and economic competitiveness.

Special thanks to our distinguished speakers, as well as Elaine Marshall, Co-Chair of the Coalition, and Zane Hedgecock, Chief of Staff at the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, for representing Commissioner Steve Troxler.
