Global NC Coalition Model Highlighted at National AIEA Conference

This month, Global NC Deputy Director Rachel Page presented at the 2026 Annual Conference of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA), one of the leading national gatherings of international education leaders.

Rachel joined colleagues from across the country for a session titled “Building Local Support for Global Learning,” which explored strategies for strengthening international education through cross-sector collaboration, data-informed planning, and partnerships at the local and state level.

During the session, Rachel highlighted North Carolina’s Coalition for Global Competitiveness as a model for aligning leaders across business, education, and government to strengthen global engagement statewide. As states and institutions across the country look for ways to sustain and expand global learning initiatives, there is growing interest in North Carolina’s collaborative approach.

The conversation reinforced the importance of building durable partnerships that connect global learning with workforce development, economic competitiveness, and community impact.

Global NC is proud to help advance these conversations and share North Carolina’s model with national audiences.
