Our recent Global Leaders delegation to Switzerland was a tremendous success. Over six days, participants engaged with leading experts across agriculture, innovation, farm preservation, and decentralized governance, gaining firsthand insight into the systems and strategies that position Switzerland as a global leader.
Throughout the program, the delegation explored how Switzerland’s cross-sector collaboration, bringing together government, industry, and education, drives innovation and long-term resilience. Site visits and discussions highlighted practical approaches to agricultural innovation and sustainability, workforce development, and regional decision-making.
This experience would not have been possible without the incredible partnership and support of our colleagues in North Carolina, along with the generous hosts across Switzerland who welcomed us, shared their expertise, and created space for meaningful exchange.
What stood out most was not just what we learned, but how directly applicable many of these insights are for North Carolina. From farmland preservation to coordinated, cross-sector strategies, the opportunity to translate ideas into action is clear.
