Go Global NC’s 2024 Global Teachers program traveled to South Korea. The delegation explored South Korea’s history, complex political relationships, culture; studied its high-achieving educational systems; and learned about how South Korea is pursuing advancements in research and development. South Korea has transformed from an impoverished, war-torn country to an economic powerhouse and the world’s 15th largest economy in less than 50 years. The program began in the vibrant city of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. From Seoul the program traveled to Busan. Participants experienced its historic palaces, bustling markets, schools, the K-pop global phenomena, vibrant temples and witnessed examples of why South Korea is a global leader in innovation.
