In June 2025, 42 educators representing 26 counties across North Carolina traveled to the Netherlands as part of Go Global NC’s Global Teachers program, an immersive international professional development experience designed to strengthen global learning and classroom instruction.

Home to more than 17 million people, the Netherlands is recognized for its rich cultural traditions, high-performing education system, commitment to sustainability, and spirit of innovation. Based in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, participants explored historic landmarks and world-class museums while also experiencing the country’s modern entrepreneurial culture. Throughout the program, educators traveled to Delft, Almere, Dronten, and other communities across the Netherlands, visiting schools, exploring historic canals and waterways, and witnessing Dutch innovation in agtech firsthand.
