Connected Communities brings together leaders from business, education, government, and local organizations within North Carolina’s cities, counties, and regions. The goal is to ensure that every part of the state is prepared to compete, connect, and succeed in the global economy.
Global connections are no longer optional. From attracting investment to preparing a skilled workforce, global engagement supports growth in every corner of our state. The program is designed to develop coalitions that give local leaders the structure, resources, and relationships they need to position their communities for long‑term success.
Each coalition is tailored to aligned with the strengths and priorities of the region. By plugging into statewide leaders and resources, the regional coalition for global engagement will match the opportunities and needs of the community.
The purpose of Connected Communities is to bring together partners to strengthen local‑global connections. Coalitions work across a wide range of strategies, including investment, trade, workforce development, and international collaboration. These efforts aim to create jobs, expand opportunities, and strengthen prosperity across North Carolina.
