co-founder and Executive Director, Five One Labs

Alice is the co-founder and Executive Director of Five One Labs, a startup incubator for displaced and conflict-affected entrepreneurs. Five One Labs operates programs across Iraq and is expanding to the US and Latin America this year.

Before launching Five One Labs, she worked as the Design Lead at the Columbia Entrepreneurship Design Studio, teaching entrepreneurship programs and coaching startups in New York City. She was previously an Innovation Specialist for UNHCR Innovation, an entrepreneurial unit in the UN Refugee Agency in Geneva, Switzerland. She also worked at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, and consulted with Mercy Corps’ Social Ventures teams in the US and Lebanon.

 Alice has a Master of International Affairs from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, and she obtained her BA in international relations from Stanford University.
